They may want to pre-treat you. You don't want your doctor surprised by an attack mid procedure. Cardiac ablation can affect your asthma. Your asthma may alter your doc's choice of anaesthetic, sedating agents, and level of sedation.

Not if controlled: If your asthma is well-controlled - meaning you rarely have symptoms or rarely need an albuterol inhaler, then conscious sedation should not cause you any more risk than if you did not have asthma. If your asthma is uncontrolled, then you should discuss this with your doctor. In some instances, surgery may need to be delayed.
