A number of causes: Could be due to infection, trauma, contact dermatitis from soap or detergent, eczema or other atopic dermatitis. Best to have it looked at by a physician and get a urinalysis. If you are sexually active it would probably be wise to get chlamydia and gonorrhea screening too.
