I had a ct scan during an er visit. after reading the report it read: " the appendix is visualized and is unremarkable, except i have no appendix!?

Odd: I would suggest you call the hospital, or your doctor, and ask that it be reread. Someone is mistaken, either your radiologist or your former surgeon. This is an important distinction to be clear about.

Talk to doctor.: Most likely happened for 1 of 3 reasons: the interpreting radiologist may have seen something that looked like an appendix but was not. You may have a stump of appendix left after your surgery. Or it may have been a typo - often times templates are used for reports and unfortunately normal sentences that should be removed might get accidentally remain. Regardless, your ct warrants another review.

Maybe NOT visualized: I assume you had an appendectomy? It is certainly possible that the radiologist said not visualized in his/her dictation but not transcribed accurately. Mistakes do happen, even the best of us still make mistake. The world unremarkable is reassuring when it comes to ct/xray interpretation. If you have further concern, consult doc. Good luck.
