Most people: With graves' disease and hyperthyroidism will lose weight until their thyroid is controlled, however, since thyroid hormone stimulates food intake, some will lose weight while hyperthyroid. Mild exercise in moderation, making sure you're on beta blockers if indicated, and avoiding rapid heart rates, overheating and dehydration is still possible, but you may have some proximal muscle weakness.
