Not likely: Streptococcal tonsillopharyngitis typically causes throat pain, difficulty swallowing , fevers, chills, fatigue, and general malaise. If you have trouble opening your mouth, it could be a dental problem or an abscess around the tonsil. See your doctor or an ENT as soon as possible.
