Let me clarify for U: When the heart "skips", it's called arrhythmia. When a person feels their heart "skip", it's called palpitations. Sometimes there is arrhythmia with no palpitation (ie, it's not felt). Sometimes there is palpitation with no arrhythmia (ie, a false alarm). Both situations are very common.
