You can ask...: If your dentist does not incorporate orthodontics in his/her practice, you will be referred to an orthodontist. A little movement can easily be accomplished with invisalign.. Ask if that course of treatment is right for you.

Cosmetic or ortho: Crooked teeth can be fixed with braces, bonding or other cosmetic treatments. Your dentist will determine what is the best option when you are in the office.

Sure, but....: Of course you can ask. What can and cannot be done and how best to do it is another matter. Equally important to short term results are what is best for the health of your teeth and gums and how stabile\long lasting will the result be? If might be an easy fix or possibly more involved. Get all the facts and then make an intelligent decision.

Please do: Know, however, that "a little" straightening may not be stable and may not be the best treatment for you. Ask your dentist to evaluate your occlusion and, if indicated, either resolve your alignment issues or refer you to an orthodontic specialist for rx. As generalists and specialists usually charge about the same thing for the same rx, you may want more than one opinion.
