Will my lips get thinner once i get my braces off?

Possibly: If teeth protrude they can accentuate lip protrusion. Putting teeth and jaws where they belong balances lip posture. Ask your orthodontic specialist what affect your orthodontic treatment will have on your facial drape.

Thinner Lips: Your lips won't actually get thinner, but they may look thinner since the "profile"/thickness of the braces will be removed. Depending on the type of braces that your orthodontist used, the change may be more pronounced or not. Finally, the feeling of not having braces will be very new--some patients describe it as slippery, and some actually miss them!

No: your lips stay the same size but your face may have a better overall appearance
