Depends: Depends on the doctor, the drug, body part injected and the size of the needle. Actually, when doing procedures the injection of the local anesthetic placed under the skin hurts worse than the needle. A doctor should only use a needs large enough to allow the medicine to flow through the needle. Large needles, of course, are mor painful than small ones.
