Have it checked if..: I have a rule I teach all primary doctors, patients, coaches and trainers: if an orthopedic injury is not 50% to 75% better in 7-10 days, then have a new work up with x-rays. In your case, if the pain is really terrible or if you see a deformity in your hand then don't wait 7 to 10 days, just go now. PS: steroid shots for fractures are not typical. Probably the shot treated soft tissue injury.
