Common finding: Clavicle fractures are common with the stresses of vaginal birth.Luckily, the clavicle is encased by a rubbery casing. The casing usually holds the edges in place limiting risk for bone separation and promoting healing. The hand use of the baby does not interfere with healing and infants are naturally limited in their movements for the 3-6 weeks it takes to heal.
