What does it mean if baby is small for gestational age?

If that is the case: Your OB should have explained that to you, means the babies wt is smaller than normal for that age, depends how small , if the baby is under the 10th % that is worrisome and if u are at term, then if u were my pt , you would be induced because baby will be better off out side than in, please call your OB and ask your OB how small your OB should be able to give u a % and the efw( 50% is avg wt.).
