Weight and time: Women don't gain 100 lb during pregnancy, and their bodies are designed to return to their pre-pregnancy build. It is actually the skin that stretches from gaining weight, and it is elastic, but it can be stretched beyond its ability to return to normal if too much weight is gained, so when the weight is lost, the skin becomes flabby. If stretched for too long, the same thing happens.
