More complex: Cholecystokinin (cck) is a major GI hormone that plays an important role in stimulation of pancreatic secretion and gallbladder contraction, regulation of GI motility as well controlling satiety. A number of factors have been shown to impact cck secretion as well as gallbladder contraction. They include: fatty acid, bile acids, proteases, acidity in the duodenum, as well as vagus nerve activity.
