Sore Throat: Could be from a viral illness, post nasal drip, allergies it bacterial illness. Not all sore throats, in fact most of them, don really need antibiotics. Try salt water gargles, tylenol (acetaminophen) as needed for pain, zinc lozenges and increased fluids for the next few days. If it doesn't start turning around or if it worsens go see your doc to get it checked out.
