I have a sore throat, swollen glands, my ears hurt when i swallow and i am bringing up red/brown phlegm. what could it be?

Pneumonia?: This sounds like a standard respiratory viral infection that might have progressed to bronchitis or pneumonia. "Red/brown" suggest your sputum (phlegm from the bronchi or lungs) contains blood. See a doctor to be checked for bronchitis or pneumonia and possible need for an antibiotic prescription. Do it immediately if you have fever, chest pain of shortness of breath, or cough up obvious blood.
