What are the advantages of sertraline over ecitalopram ? i know that they are similar but want to know advantages of each .

Various things: Zoloft is approved for major depression plus pretty much the full range of anxiety disorders. Lexapro (escitalopram) is approved for major depression but is only approved for generalized anxiety disorder. It failed to receive fda approval for panic disorder. Side effects or otherwise pretty much similar. They're both now generic. Sexual side effects are still a problem with both of these medications. They are both considered to be weight neutral.
