Many possibilities..: Infection, inflammation and even allergic reaction. Worst is allergic reaction.... We call it angioedema. It can progress very quickly. If the swelling extends to the inside of your mouth or interferes with breathing or swallowing... Call 911 and get help. If not.. Call you doctor or get help to treat it.
