Complicated answer: Hiv can not be cured. In regards to the time it takes to go on and develop full blown aids varies. In general terms around 10 years..But this is not to say it can not happen much faster or even slower. Hiv is a complicated and elusive disease. 25% of those current;ly infected do not even know. Although rates of new infection are lower..Its still an epidemic.
