Living with HIV: No longer should any human get aids. But, that would be in an ideal world. Aids was a diagnosis that represented full immune collapse and thus diagnosed the patient of being at risk of deadly opportunistic infections. It was set at a cut off of CD4 cells of 200 or less. The goal today is to never let an HIV positive individual get a weakened immune system that is this broken.
