Serious: As a heart attack... Yes, mini heart attacks are quite serious. Heart attacks occur when not enough oxygen gets to the muscle of the heart, and some of the muscle dies. One can recover quite well from small heart attacks, but if you get enough "mini" heart attacks, it's can be as bad as a big one. These can definitely be treated with medication but lifestyle change is crucial.
