The classic symptoms are crushing chest discomfort often with associated left arm discomfort, sweating,shortness of breath,nausea& weakness. However, atypical symptoms are common. One may have jaw pain,lightheadedness, or fainting,and no chest discomfort. The lesson is any symptoms accompanied by weakness,sweats and/or shortness of breath with or without chest distress means a call to 911.
