Mixed signals: Mixed signals between your eyes and your vestibular (balancing system) can cause seasickness while on a boat. When you disembark, the same mixed signals cause a temporary swaying feeling when first on land. If nausea occurs, it is called land sickness. Most cases are short-lived.
