Trial vs Hospice: I'm so sorry for you and your friend. The seizure might mean the cancer has spread to the brain. Radiation therapy to the brain can help prevent neurologic symptoms like seizures. But it sounds like this cancer is aggressive. If your friend wants more chemo, look for a clinical trial. Or consider changing the focus of care to treating symptoms and enjoying what life remains. This means hospice.

Very advanced: Disease.- what does oncologist say?- with this many problems a hospice evaluation could be ordered by patients physician. This is for comfort care.
