Onychorrhexis: Vertical ridges are a NORMAL sign of aging. Nothing else. If you have abnormal thyroid it can be corrected. Then you will have less dry- brittle skin, hair, nails. But the ridges will remain. Frequent use of lubricating cream will make your fingers feel softer.
