Maybe: Any swelling after dental treatment should be examined by a dentist or a physician.

Sensitivity to Metal: With the cost of gold, platinum and palladium rising, dental labs sometimes use non-precious alloys for making the bases of porcelain to metal crowns and bridges. Occasionally, some people are sensitive or allergic to the nickel or silver in the alloy and react with red mucosa as a contact allergy, or salivary gland swelling? Also the pulp may die and cause gland swelling.
