A member asked:

Swelling under the jaw. could it be lymph nodes? or the salivary glands? i don't think it's my teeth or wisdom or jaw. symptoms on my other question.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Swelling: Can't see your other question...system doesn't work that way. As a general rule, any pain, swelling, or bleeding should be immediately investigated. Could be lymph nodes swollen from trying to filter an infection, or partially blocked salivary gland, or draining abscess, or so many other things. Bite the bullet, call your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon for an examination.
