Is it possible for doctors to check my liver and kidney function with my blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood tests results: A comprehensive chemistry panel will check, bun, creatinine, potassium and co2. It will also check, ast, alt, which are liver enzymes, as well as bilirubin and albumin. The first 4 tests are measures of kidney function and the last 4 are a measure to measure liver function. Additional tests for kidney function as phosphorus and intact pth, other liver function studies are ammonia and ldh.
