Magnesium dose is: Less than 350 mg to be safe. Higher is possibly unsafe and may cause irregular heart beat which may cause a person to feel anxious but generally magnesium does not cause anxiety itself. It is known to reduce anxiety and depression in some people. Best to always take medications only as directed by prescriber and discuss adverse effects with prescriber. Best regards.
