No, we don't: We understand your illness and your plight and are empathic to your pain. If you're suicidal never hesitate to come in. We are more than happy to serve you in anyway we can.

Very sad: Having served as an emergency psychiatrist in many areas, i can tell you this makes me very sad. Er's do help in crises -- but oftentimes the person is not receiving (or not participating in) outpatient treatments for his/her condition. So things only get worse. These people are suffering, yet may not have resources for long-term mental health treatment. This needs to change.
