Muscle tear: Muscle can repair itself whether torn from injury or "micro trauma" from weight training. The difference with weight training is that the muscle "hypertrophies" from repeated micro injury. Ie each muscle cell gets larger in response to the recurrent work/injury.

Tear me up.: Muscle tear, for the most part, heal with normal muscle tissue. Occasionally, however, some torn muscle tissue may be replaced by fibrous tissue, forming scars.
