Question confusing: Ob's may give moms in premature labor steroids briefly to push along babies lung maturity, i'm not aware of any lung steroids given to babies after birth. If your ? Is how long the effect of the earlier dose would help, no one knows.You may be confusing steroids with surfactant, an artificial agent given to premi's with rds, that is sometimes repeated if sx continue.
