Neuro vs. psych: Transient ischemic attack is temporary neurologic impairment due to impaired blood flow to the brain. Symptoms could include weakness, numbness, visual or speech difficulty, etc. Panic attacks are episodes of intense fear of dying or heart attack, flashing vision, faint or nauseated, numbness throughout the body, heavy breathing and hyperventilation.
