Probably. : The drugs are very similar. Pregabalin (lyrica) has some habit forming potential that Neurontin (gabapentin) doesn't appear to have. We use both drugs to treat pain syndromes such as neuropathic pain, post-hermetic neuralgia; fibromyalgia, etc. Talk with your doctor about it. Good luck.

Yes: Lyrica (pregabalin) binds with high affinity to the alpha2-delta site (an auxiliary subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels) in central nervous Gabapentin does also.Withdrawal symptoms include seizures and headaches, nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, vomiting, irritability, insomnia, nightmares, and tingling sensations.Gabapentin sounds like a reasonable use, but work with an addictionologist, please.
