Had a lamenectomy (sp?) 9/17/12. in l5. no more nerve pain but moderate pain in lower back and hip. could the hip pain be related to back pain?

See your doctor: It could be related , or the surgery may have unmasked a coinciding condition that was difficult for you to notice until the nerve pain was abated. Your doctor can help sort this out.

Yes: Pain in the hip area may be related to lower back pain and nerve compression. It is more often felt in the outside of the pelvis and hip area. True hip pain is commonly felt in the groin.
