Congestion: Most brass players agree that any kind of nasal or sinus congestion can be a major problem when playing. If you have allergies and sinus or nasal congestion, talk to your doctor about antihistamines and decongestants to help clear out your passages. You may also want to consider a cool mist humidifier in your bedroom at night.
