Frequent anal sources of bleeding include hemorrhoids ; fissures, but can also be seen with anal ; rectal cancer, infections, ischemic colitis, diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel, etc. Don't miss the opportunity to bring up your bleeding to GI doctor. Bleeding is never normal ; deserves evaluation ; appropriate treatment.
