Can abilify (aripiprazole) cause false negative test results when being tested for carcinoid tumors?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Apparently not: There are a variety of drugs that can affect the 5-hiaa test. Medications that can increase 5-hiaa include acetaminophen( in percocet) ephedrine, (ephedrine sulfate) diazepam (valium), nicotine, , and phenobarbital. Medications that can decrease 5-hiaa include aspirin, ethyl alcohol, imipramine, levodopa, heparin, isoniazid, methyldopa, and tca's.
