Is it possible for lithium and/or abilify (aripiprazole) to cause incontinence, stuffiness and excessive drooling?

Seems possible: Both medications have been blamed for those side effects by patients. Some think Abilify (aripiprazole) is more likely to cause the stuffiness. It is definitely something you need to discuss w/ your provider. Not only are such side effects distressing to you, but they could mask other problems. So do visit your provider and have an exam to be sure no neurological condition may be in hiding behind drugs.

Concur w/Dr. Weixel: Allow me to add the following to what Dr. Weixel has written. Lithium is much better known for dry mouth as opposed to drooling. And while incontinence is listed as a side effect it is felt to be usually due to increased urinary frequency. Abilify (aripiprazole) can cause the side effects you mention in significant numbers.
