See your doc!: Any time someone feels like they can't breath, they should be checked out. Could be a potential problem or become one fast. Err on the side of caution.

Needs exam: That combination of symptoms is best assessed with an exam by a physician. Serious bacterial infections of the throat, larynx, or epiglottis can cause swelling, pain, fever, and difficulty breathing. In addition to antibiotics, sometimes steroids may be necessary. This is an urgent situation.
