Low calcium?: To answer you question correctly, more information needs to be given. Is his "low calcium" (c) a corrected c? Is he on doxercalciferol (d) or paricalcitrol (p)? Calcium carbonate can raise the c of dialysis patients only when d or p is administered to them. An increase of the c in the dialysate can also be of help in low c levels. You should ask your father's nephrologist or dietician for more info.
