A member asked:

I have acid reflux that has been with me for years and does not go away... is there any medication or that i can use indefinitely for it? what about calcium carbonates? can i use those forever for it? seeing a doc right now is risky with covid19?

Understand your fears about COVID-19, but you might find the safest environment to now be in doctors' offices. Would propose a gastroenterologist to work with you and select appropriate medications. Chronic reflux is a problem which can be managed rather successfully, but you need to initiate contact.
