A member asked:

How long does it take to reverse the neuroadaptation after 8 years of ssri use ? 2 months off and having a lot of symptoms that i never had before ssri

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Taper: You may want to resume your ssri under a doctor's supervision and have them make up a schedule for withdrawal. Ssri's must be slowly tapered off. The longer you've been on them the longer it should take to taper them off. Otherwise, it is quite common to have bizarre and unpleasant side effects.
