Are ssris bad for the brain and the body when used in long term ? i'm on zoloft (sertraline) for anxiety but i'm very nervous that it might damage or change me when used for a few years or longer ?!

They are safe: There is no long term damage from SSRIs. They help you body maintain serotonin levels in the brain to relieve anxiety and depression. Many people use them for decades without problem.
