Too clean!: The most common cause of anal itching is excessive washing, resulting in a dry, chapped anus. The best way to deal with this is to leave it alone. Wash no more than once a day with lukewarm water and no soap. Wipe gently with soft toilet paper. If you follow this advice, your itching will probably stop.
