TB meningitis: As indicated earlier this disease can produce damage to the brain and spinal cord that may not be fully reversible. Brain swelling may be due to the onset of obstruction to flow of spinal fluid from the ventricles to the spinal subarachnoid space. She may never be completely normal, or it may take a very long time period.
