Side effects: Tizanidine, more so than Baclofen, tends to cause drowsiness. Both can cause dizziness or a sensation of drunkenness. However, neither side effect will hinder your fiancee's recovery. She really ought to work with physical and occupational therapy to direct her rehabilitation and recovery. Good luck!

Yes: Sorry, here in US I've never seen a case of TB meningitis but those are HEFTY doses of meds. I've had pts tell me that 2 mg of tizanidine once a day all by itself made them intolerably drowsy. It shouldn't delay recovery but I wouldn't be surprised if she spent her recovery in a fairly torpid state.

That is too much for: Muscle relaxers are like sleeping medications, and as you feel sleepy, your muscles are more relaxed. I don't advice patients to take 2 separate muscle relaxers at same time, no matter what. So yes, that is why he is feeling too sleepy.
