Unlikely,: Not unique for an MRI to show white matter lesions in pts who have history of migraine, especially complex episodes, either classical or hemiplegic. Strokes with migraine, seems most associated with auras, cigarette smoking, and hormonal use. The root cause of your episodes is genetic, which changes your brain glutamate sensitivity.

Migraine: Old lacunar infarcts are from small strokes in the brain and if you are having stroke-like symptoms they could be related and the neurologist will be helpful here.
