A member asked:

I have a 10 months baby, who have a absess in her leg, the docto, give her amocixillin... she have cough and nasal congestion, thats help or worse her?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Abscess: A 10 month old with infection needs to be monitored very carefully. Hopefully the treatment with Amoxicillin was based on the sensitivity of the causative organism isolated by culture of the abscess and not empirically. The cough and nasal congestion may be an entirely different issue. Make sure the doctor is familiar with the care of infants or is a pediatrician.
