My top joint on my finger is stuck at a 30 angle, and goes down to about 40, the doctor said to splint it, but it's not helping, could it be broken?

See your doctor: Sounds like you have deficiency in the extensor tendon, either from a tear or fracture. Need to get this evaluated by an orthopedist.

?distal extensor: Sounds like an avulsion of the distal part of the extensor tendon. Splinting for that should be done quickly and not removed for 3-4 weeks minimum for healing to have a chance to occur. If delay between noticing and splinting of more than a couple days success rate diminishes. Re-consult your doctor.
